COWON D2 DAB Firmware V4.59

Warning/Caution * If your firmware version is not 4.56, please follow the installation steps with pictures from copy files under the folder labeled "0". * All data in D2 will be deleted, so please back up your data. * If your firmware version is 4.56, you must first upgrade files under the folder labeled "1". It is owing to the character of flash memory control, and there��s nothing wrong with the product. So if your firmware version is 4.56, please follow the below installation steps. �� Please download the firmware file (V.4.59) and uncompress it. Please back up your data in COWON D2. �� Please do not copy d2.bin file located under the folder labeled "0" into the root directory of the COWON D2. Even though you copy the file, COWON D2 does not recognize it. �� Please copy d2.bin file under the folder labeled "1" into the root directory of the COWON D2. Disconnect the COWON D2 from the PC. It should fully power off once this is done. Power on the unit for the firmware upgrade to process. After the firmware upgrade has completed it will automatically shut off. Connect the unit to the pc again to start the next layer of the firmware upgrade. �� Please copy d2.bin file located under the folder labeled "2" into the root directory of the COWON D2. Disconnect the COWON D2 from the PC. It should fully power off once this is done. Power on the unit for the firmware upgrade to process. After the firmware upgrade has completed it will automatically shut off. Connect the unit to the pc again. �� Please format the device with FAT 32 or FAT in either JetShell or Windows Explorer. JetShell: File -> Format Device Memory Windows Explorer: My computer -> right click the drive -> Format�� �� After formatting, please turn on your D2 and check the firmware version. Please connect your D2 to the PC, and paste your files to it. Fixed the tag ordering error of OGG files in genre. Fixed the error that some irregular lyric text is broken. Fixed the booting error when there are some irregular ID3 tags. Fixed the error that even if it was user defined for "M" button to stop or playback, playback was not working as it supposed to. Please read the notes before installing the firmware. 1. The current firmware version of your COWON D2 is different from the application version. 2. Device does not power up after formatting. 3. After the firmware upgrade has completed it will automatically shut off. - You might see the white screen on D2; however , it could happen during firmware upgrade. Make sure that COWON D2 is turned off, and then turn it again. The version of firmware is appeared on the LCD when turning the device on. Or go to Setting - > Information to check the version of firmware. You can check the upgraded version of firmware in System Information under Settings menu. The battery must be fully charged before upgrading firmware. Do not turn the power off during upgrading. Backup any important files to your computer before upgrade. You must upgrade the supplied firmware from COWON SYSTEMS.
